I think I bought the SeeStar a bit late as we are starting to rapidly lose darkness here in the UK now. It will be end of August before it gets properly dark after May.

These are lovely images, but what you should see with a single stack. I know what you mean about temperature though, my Solarscope is exactly the same and needs to be warm and cosy to work properly, the hotter the better. I am sure the etalon also needs to be warm as well as the blocking filter. :bo...
