Re: Which camera to purchase?

The quark, but you could use it with the Lunt at longer focal ratios. (f25+)

Re: HR Ca K images with single/double/triple stack Ca K Alluxa filters and top seeing / 29 sept

Absolutely stunning Christian! I never got to test my Alluxa CaK setup on larger apertures this year, that's for next year now! I tried triple stacking but using a CaK PST filter, but found it didn't offer great improvement (and the usual longer exposure time). I need to focus on tuning the filters ...

Thanks guys! Nice reprocess James, I don't mind at all :) The 'greenery' on the right hand side of the garden is pyrocantha https://www.rhs.org.uk/plants/pyracantha and is an evergreen. There are some leaves left on other shrubs in the garden which haven't fully come off yet, but it can't be long fo...

Re: Which camera to purchase?

Hi Stefan

I'd recommend a camera with an imx174 or imx432 camera. The latter will give the less zoomed in view.

Saturday Sunshine 9th December

Hi All, Despite the day starting with a heavy bad of rain for several hours, by lunchtime the sky had transformed to (nearly!) blue skies. It was very windy though and blowing the lids of all my scope cases shut along with nearly blowing the laptop off. I was chasing the sun with the travelling kit ...

These are excellent Christian, demonstrates the effect of focal ratio on CaK filters very well.

Re: First Light CAK System 7 Dec Singapore

These are excellent Alfred, your best yet! Thanks, Mark. I am expecting much more from this setup. Need to put in more time to learn and optimise the imaging train, e.g. tilting the Alluxa filters as pointed out by Christian. Alfred Can you tell us more about the module Alfred - has it a 3d printed...
