here is my truss refractor

Best regards

Ale
So nice!

Did you build it DIY or was it made custom by someone? Would love to spec out something in the 8" range.

Very best,
Hi MalVeaux

This truss ota was made by a friend of mine, Gennaro Scotto di Vetta.

Re: Kelvin came back! 2018.08.12

Awesome resolution and great captures! Would love to see your scope (I'm sure I've seen it, but I always love to see it again, I dream of a truss refractor). Thank you for sharing the Quark Calcium, that's high on my list right now and I like seeing what it can do on bigger scopes! Very best, Tks M...

Would love to see the results if you could fit this scope with a more narrow etalon.

What a beautifull solar scope !!!
What is the approximated weight of the "optical tube" without the optics ?
The images are lovely too.
Hi Christian

The truss tube without lens cell is about 16 kilos.

Hi Alessandro, Amazing images of the Sun´s fur  Do I understand your telescope correctly by assuming that cell on the front is a refractor lens of 228mm diameter, then comes the ERF and then the tube holds ¿ more lenses ? and at the end is the H-alpha filter and the camera ? Hi Ale, Excellent prominences photos. And the animation is perfect! BTW. These limb images are single frame or a combination of spiculae/proms frame with a surface frame? Looking for more. Valery Tks Valery These images are single frame (not combinatiom of spiculae/proms frame with a surface frame)
