The second cak image has turned out well Alfred. The first one looks like the tilt is completely wrong to me, excessive tilt infact, uneven illumination is the same as when a ha etalon is tilted too much. The cones of light also imply excessive tilt. I have found there is not really much need to me...

These are excellent Alfred! By far your best yet! Critical tuning of the filters makes all the difference, and these images show it. Remember before double stacking the two filters you were not critical tuning them. For best results double stacking, the filter that requires the least tilt to be on ...

Hi Alfred, Very good images. I have always wondered about your total isolation of the tube and everything else and I think that is not a good idea. The tube inside will become hotter and hotter as the heat builds up inside and the temperature inside for sure is much higher then ambient temperature....

I have not been as lucky with AR3590. I first saw it on 19 Feb and missed half the number of days because of poor weather. Overall I am happy to have made many recordings which my students will be using for some research work.
