My bad.....the image caption should read 'south west limb.' Thanks for the thumb up. The plasma condensation and decent was fascinating to follow.

Amazingly beautiful and interesting shots! :bow :bow :bow Why don't you make an animation out of this? It will be superb!!! The ION 0.8 seems to work pretty well for the prominences. Have you tried it for the solar surface as well? Can it be used for Double stacking? Best wishes, Alexandros Thanks ...

Stunning presentations Jim :bow :hamster: one thing is for sure, these detached proms are always attached by some threads somewhere and you picked them up well :) Alexandra I've looked at quite a few of these detached proms in recent months and I'm beginning to wonder if they are a variation on the...

Lots of activity in this quiescent prominence just prior to the unrelated M class flare to immediate north (to left). An interesting size range of spicules along the limb. https://cdn.astrobin.com/thumbs/phIpcLVbCmr7_2560x0_esdlMP5Y.jpg Detached prominence on the north east limb, 26 Aug 2023. Note t...

Erupting Polar Crown Prominence
Sadly, due to the near 100 degree temps, wasn't able to collect enough good quality frames for a more conventional animation. But the evolution of the prominence over 45 minutes clearly apparent. Rockin'!!

Dramatic eastern limb prominences, 08 June
Amazingly active prominences on the eastern limb. Counter streaming in the south east limb quiescent prominence was particularly fascinating to follow. The quiescent prominence on the eastern limb, just north of the equator, is breaking up with small portions lifting away from the northern end over ...

Re: Beautiful development of loop prom at AR3305 Animation 5/21/2023
This is most excellent! Your images always have a very delicate feel, amazing resolution. If you look closely at the polar crown prominence, despite being just over the limb, a bubble void is recognizable at the base with rising dark plumes. Good stuff!
