Alexandra, Franco, and Eric... Thanks for your comments and feedback on the images...always appreciated :bow Alexandra, I usually start with the FD images to see what should be targeted when I move to the larger scopes but sometimes I get clouded out before much chance of doing the hi-res work. November 4th Session

Hello everyone.. The promised clear skies eventually arrived this morning, but the seeing became increasingly poor as the morning progressed. I ran one set of full disk Ha images through the LS75FHa/B1200Ha on the William Optics 72mm scope, then switched to the CR-150 OTA that was refitted with both...

Beautiful lunar image Valery!!!

I too quite like to explore this region, and the southern highland around Clavius are equally good.

Hi Marty...

Nice work and the longer focal lengths show their ability to find features on the relatively featureless disk. Nice work :bow

Re: October 30th in Ha

Thanks Mark!!!

October has been more cloudy/wet than usual this year, and astronomical pursuits have been limited. Clear skies are still forecast for Sunday, so fingers are crossed fro a sunny day!

Re: Focus without the wobbles

Dena... I think you refer to a motorized focused as opposed to autofocus. Adding a motor is usually pretty easy and removes finger induced jiggles making focusing quite easy. I used JMI units for years until I started to upgrade the entire focuser to Moonlite which includes integrated motors. Quite ...

October 30th in Ha

Hi everyone... Clear skies have been scarce around here the past month with few days offering more than a few hours of clear sky. This past Tuesday was an exception being clear from dawn to dusk, and work was quiet enough I managed to get some time to view and image over my lunch. As others have rep...

Hi Lou...

Great to see you had a chance to take advantage of the rare sunny skies today and the proms look great too :bow

I managed to have time to image too...still processing. There were a number of small filaments as well.

Hi Marty... The full disk is nice and sharp and the higher resolution images look good despite the seeing you had. These turned out quite well :bow All cloud the last few days, and woke to the first snow covered landscape today  Hope for some sun on Tuesday if the forecast is half right. Brian

Out of curiosity, is the Omega+Barlow installed before or after the B600 CaK module?

A fine example of the small scale details that can be found even in the descent to solar minimum. Excellent result :bow
