good morning, everyone, the clouds came back late at night on the Albion plateau. I still managed to catch the sun in a very tiny lightening (before everything is gray!) (single 17s video! viva the 60img/s of the 178mm... and the SSD!)...)... as much to say that about the setting, there is only the ...
@montana > yes, sun during the day and deep sky object at night... well, weather permitting! It is to say if I do not sleep much sometimes when I am at the observatory!
Good evening, everyone, still a little bit of sunshine today from the Albion plateau (it's likely to spoil from tomorrow :( ) but we had to juggle between clouds, cirrus and the late hour. at fs60 with the sm40 double stack, glasspath x1.25, BF10 and zwo178mm towards 15h10 UT http://www.astrosurf.co...
good morning, everyone, passing this week at the Sirene Observatory ( https://www.obs-sirene.com/ ) on the Albion plateau in France, I was hoping for a better weather forecast than at home... well, not really. http://www.astrosurf.com/ls35dx/new39/S20180307-matos.jpg After the rain and snow of the p...
thanks to you :) No, it wasn't my first total eclipse, but it was my first in digital! ;) I also saw the 1999 one... in france :) http://www.astrosurf.com/n4/images/13Abis-cor858x624.jpg http://www.astrosurf.com/n4/astro.htm but also the one of 2006 since turkey. http://www.astrosurf.com/c8/images/m...
Good evening, everyone, on vacation at the moment: still as cold but sunny today... for the moment, I tested the solar in nomad configuration with the fs60 on the staradventurer! :) It works, but it's not easy to do the MAP, it's not very stable ;) https://i.goopics.net/eL9A9.jpg the seeing was also...
thanks for the comments
Yes, with the small pixels of 178mm, the sun has a nice size!
some more problems with visible newton rings, next time I try without the glasspath (even if the sun will be smaller on the sensor )
Good evening, everyone, a more transparent sky than yesterday... but a breezy and colder air! I always try to improve my flats at focus: transparent plastic bag in front of the sm40 for here. Works not too bad but not yet perfect... always at fs60 + sm40 double stack + glasspath x1.25 + BF10 + zwo17...
Good evening, everyone, It's not hot right now here in france but clear skies by my place this saturday... clear but not coronal! But still enough for me to draw the portrait of him on our solar star; even if his surface is very poor in activity. fs60 with its sm40 double stack, glasspath x1.25, BF1...
Hello, Like some of my compatriots, I made the trip to the United States to observe this total eclipse of the sun (and incidentally do a 15 days road trip for a little tourism. https://www.google.com/maps/d/viewer?mid=1wJ2APwHxL30S5ADdh3kgg23-wA8&ll=38.74782135758403%2C-99.64599599999997&z=4 ). Hi, I am new to this forum, also a short presentation: I am French (so sorry my poor level in English), and I have been watching the sun for many years. Sometimes with an astrosolar filter on a C8. But most often, in halpha. At first, with a lunt ls35dx; but now with a fs60 equipped with a SM40 doub...
