I just found the image below. At least on Monday the Palm tree branches and leaves were useful :mrgreen:

It is the shadow on the stairs to my observatory.

Just a 1:1 crop, a simple Histogram stretch and a tiny bit of Unsharp Mask. Nothing else as I still do not understand Over- or Under sampling :lol:

Important for you is to focus near perfection.

Well done. How about the sag in that long optical train especially the push in connection at the very first point in the focuser.

You are a great machinist. Why not make a threaded adapter for that point?

Hi, Forgot to add yesterday. The temperature dropped by 2.8°C as you can see. uddenly my visitors and I feelt cold and everybody said :cool: At max. coverage 12:17 the temperature was 25.2°C from the highest point 27.9°C at 11:32 local time The time on the graph is not correct. It is one hour ahead....

The first video is very impressive, I am presuming you kept it at a fixed exposure and it gradually got darker and darker, wow!! very moody! This is what I harvested today. All went trouble free except was a bit hazy due to SMOG. 3 hours and 5 minutes compressed in both videos to about 2 minutes 30 seconds. Thanks for watching :bow2

I have a friend who is going to Melchor Muzquiz in the state of Coahuila, North Mexico, where the totality is 4m29s and the weather forecast looks exactly as you said. They rented a house there.

32 degrees! :shock: At least it doesn't say wall to wall sunshine for Sunday and Tuesday and cloudy on Monday, if it were in the UK the forecast would be like that. I have two choices. I can drive up to my hometown 3 hours away and stay with my sister in Ashland, OH where they get over 3 minutes of totality or stay down here and drive 45 minutes and get over 3 minutes of totality and the forecast keeps flipping back and forth as to which one is better. Nice disk. As Mark mentioned, move the disk around in the FOV to find the best overall tuning. It appears in this shot that the sweet spot is to bring the disk down a bit lower in this FOV. US $ 200,00 is a good price. I would recommend you anodize all parts for better durability over the years. Anodize in natural color. Black is a bad idea due to heat.
