I didn't notice that faint large prom at all in my doublestacked Coronado 90. If I would have took the time to view in single stack I almost certainly would have seen it. Thanks for the surprise, Pedro!

It happened just before I observed yesterday. The magnetic lines had reconnected by the time I got to the scope and the filament had re-formed following the magnetic flux tube. Is winter observing totally out of the question for you Ivan? You live in Russia, right? I know it's very cold in some parts of Russia in winter. And then there is the issue of the low sun.

Terry, I eagerly await your sodium d line images. Try observing visually with it also. I am curious of the results. Ivan, I don't remember a low contrast filament at the edge of the disc. I didn't take note of it anyway. Do you remember where is was at the limb? I'll have to check out Pedro's images...

I use a wide rubber band for a grip around the focuser of the SMII60. The original rubber grip broke and came off. The rubber band works fine!

I bet that's a really nice scope. You usually seem to do single stack concentrating on prominences it seems. A 180mm scope in good seeing will far outperform anything I have. You should get outstanding views of the limb spicule layer.

It's only slightly visible in CaK but very prominent in Ha. I could see faculae near that region in white light as your white light image shows.

I did get some observation time in despite the clouds. I will post shortly. The large filament has faded and become more tenuous.
