Re: March 24th - Ha Session

Geoff...

Regarding the glare, I'm not sure of the cause this time.

I will have to take it all apart and check for sources. I though I had a bit of a light leak but once fixed it still had a lot of glare, so back to the drawing board.

March 24th - Ha Session

Good day everyone... Sunday offered another clear day to explore the great activity on the sun and I wasn't going to let it pass by ;) I only worked with the Ha filters as I lost a lot of time trying to get rid of glare and tuning issues, so by the time I was ready to image it was getting into the l...

Good day everyone... This weekend has been clear and glad for it since there is such good activity to image on our star! I ran a series of FD images with all the filters with the ASI1600MM camera for all. Images through WL, G-Band and CaK filters were imaged through the Orion EON130 OTA. The WL used...

Hi Alexander... I have attached a pic of the DSII pair on the Orion EON 130 OTA. The tube was not shortened as it reaches focus in its native length but hasn't got much in focus travel left. You will have to do some tests to see if you need to modify the OTA that you have. I had this mounted on a Ce...

Have you had above average temps and below average precipitation the past year or so? Too bad to see the condition of the camera Rich.

Reach out to ZWO...they are usually good about repairs but may vary depending on the age of the camera. Worth a try, and if you get another camera you might have a backup if they help you out.
