Ca-K filters

Post by pstew »

Hi all
I am thinking of adding Ca-K to the imaging arsenal, what would be the best filter to use without breaking the piggy bank too much :D

Lunt B1200 .What scope mine works best on a f11 achro(80mm) most of the time occasionally when the seeing is good on a 127mmAPO. I use mine all the time.

Hi Paul

Yep, Derek and Mark are right. There are less expensive alternatives, but they give less fine pics

Paul,

Lunt B1200 CaK will be very nice addition to your solar instruments collection.

BTW How does your Quark works?

I hope so Valery :)
The clouds are making using the Quark awkward at the moment, initial tests double stacked with a LS60 are promising

Lunt CaK1200 plus Lunt 60 scope (comes as a 'kit' in the UK) and with a cheap Tal 100RS - no words needed other than to say that they would be even better if my processing improved!
