Hello all,
I have a LS50c filter (the red one) that I use to double stack my LS50 scope. I was wondering if I could screw this onto my Tak refractor and use a B600 blocking filter to get a single stack scope?
Based on my reading from the Lunt website, it seems that the LS50c module was designed only for the LS50 solar scope while the LS50THa module was designed for regular refractors. Is there a difference between the two other than their thread size?
Also, is there some sort of recommended spacing between the single stack module and the telescope objective?

Hiya, I use one on my ED60 f6 scope, I had to have a cell manufactured though to attach it. I would aim to have the etalon as close to the objective as possible as this reduces any tilting moment depending on how you attach it. Also, is there a recommended focal ratio? I’m planning to use it with an f/10 scope.

I'm using the red one, I have a white one too but the red is a better (flatter more on band). Mine is running at a shade over f7.
Here it is double stacked with the white etalon, but I prefer single stack with the red one...

Do you find that you need more backfocus when using the AT60ED in solar mode than when using it for nighttime mode?
If you recall, could you confirm if the LS50c etalon has M80x1 threads?

Back focus is exactly the same. I think it's m90x1 , but are not by the scope at the moment so can't double check right now.

The white 50mm Lunt etalons are m90x1 thread I checked earlier. Reds like you say are m80x1.

As as I know, the LS50c red etalon was intendent for double staking. So, it may require more tilt to come to Ha core and so, may produce banding.

My LS50c red is the best etalon I have, requires no tilt to be on band. All etalons are different, my experience over the years is that it is just the luck of the draw what you get when purchased.
