Etalon question
Can someone tell me if by decreasing the distance between an air spaced etalon if that also decreases the output wavelength?

Yes. This is how "richview" tuning in the Coronado etalons is accomplished. Compressing the spacer(s) reduces the etalon gap distance, and blue-shifts the etalon.
