PST etalon nosepiece with 1:1,25 glasspath

Post by bart1805 »

Nosepiece for f/8 refractor. Front adapter for PST etalon made by AOK. Inside there is a 1:1,25 Baader Glasspath, this way you can use for example a f/8 refractor in combination with a PST etalon. I used it in combination with a 150mm f/8 Skywatcher.
125 euro’s plus shipping.

Knowing absolutely nothing about a PST modification, would this be something I would need to do a PST modification for a C11?

Hi Alexandra,
No you don't need it. Your C11 is already f/10.

Alexandra, you want to attach the etalon to the visual back of the C11. You can use a SCT to 2 inch adapter. Buy a 2 inch nosepiece for the etalon and connect the two. An alternative is an adapter with SCT thread on the front, thread to attach the etalon on the back. AOK made one for me.
After the etalon it is the same as with every PST mod. So about 20 cm behind the etalon is your camera. before the camera the blocking filter.
You use this method when you don't want to remive the front and backlens of your etalon.
Good luck! Bart.
