Prom Animation 25th August '19_Colour Added
What a difference a day makes. Absolutely beautiful all day today, without the high level haze we had yesterday... I was so confident of clear skies I decided from the start to make an animation sequence of the wonderful prom on show over recent days. It was indeed beautifully dynamic, full of raining plasma knots that Mark T describes and changing minute-by-minute.
Images captured on my DS 150 mm/Lunt35 mod with a 2.5x Powermate and Basler acA1920-155um camera. One 10s SER every 30 seconds from 10:43 until 11:07 am. Processed in ImPPG, including image alignment.
Solar plasma dynamics in action..... boom!

As always, thanks for looking.

That's a beauty Stu! It's nice to have skies that stay clear enough and long enough to do this. Hoping the blue returns on monday too!

Looking again, with the pulsating swirls of the left hand side of the prom you get a real feel for the 3 dimensional space it sits in.

Hi Stu,
Thanks for showing that there are so many actions even when the Sun is spotless. We had to cancel a solar imaging session this afternoon because the rain came. Hoping that it will clear the haze.

Re: Prom Animation 25th August '19
Many thanks everyone. It was one of those days when everything came together and actually worked!
Back to clouds and possible rain here, so I've spent a little time reprocessing, this time in colour and flipped around. No new data, just reworked.

Oh my goodness!!!! truly spectacular work Stuart I also did a timelapse of this prom but from 11:10 - 12:10 it will take me months to process though so you might see it at Christmas, it is certainly not as good as yours.

Many thanks everyone. I really appreciate your feedback.
Alexandra, presumably you could use the batch processing options in AS!3 and ImPPG, as I did. Set up, run, sit with a glass of wine...

What a catch, Stu. Super-thick curtain blowing in the (solar) wind.
