22nd March Sun

Post by Carbon60 »

Like Mark, I was fighting the seeing conditions today.

First up is a CaK full disk imaged on a Tecnosky 125 and a B1800 Lunt CaK module. This is a two pane combo taken on a Basler acA1920-155um and a Baader CaK line and Omega filter on the nose.

Closer views were a complete washout at this wavelength.

Hydrogen alpha close views were a little more successful, but again fighting the seeing.

150mm/Lunt 35 mod with the same Basler camera and a 2.5x powermate.

Thanks for looking.

Nice images Stu! The seeing was a pain today, looks like we're in for a run of potentially good weather for a while.

A very nice set, Stu. I like how you caught the small active region in the center if the disk.
