Monday Sun-day Fun Day... 25th May '20
A beautiful blue sky start to the day and the Sun is putting on a good show (considering it's solar minimum). No sunspots, of course, but the active region still looks impressive, given that it's on the decline and there's an excellent large pyramid type prom that I just had to image and animate.
Started with the RCT on the AR, but the conditions were not really optimal, so I dropped to the 150/DS Lunt 35 mod for a further look at the same region and close views of the prom. I finished up with a calcium K quadrant and SS Ha full disk.
Apologies if the animation takes some time to load.
Thanks for looking.
Stu.

Excellent set of images Stu! Seeing was half decent for me this morning too, even got the HaT out but have still got to process so remains to be seen what comes out. Hope the eye is better.

Fine images Stuart. I was imaging with the HaT the same plage field but was running out of time, my images were far too soft on processing.

Hi Stuart,
I have also this afternoon taken many Ha images of this prom and yet to process them, albeit unlikely to be as good as yours and the animation.
The detail shown in the animation really does show the movement of the prom.
Thanks
Terry-
