Reflected Sunlight- Moon 22nd November 2020

Post by Carbon60 » Mon Nov 23, 2020 7:14 am

Segment of the Moon captured and processed in colour. A little blurry lower left, but I was quite pleased with the result overall.

Equipment and process flow:
Nikon D5500
2.5x PowerMate
Tecnosky 125mm
Video captures .MOV converted to SER files (PIPP)
Stacked in AS!3
Mosaic image processed in MS ICE
RGB channels separated out (PixInsight) and deconvoluted/sharpened in ImPPG
RGB channels recombined and colours enhanced in PixInsight

Hi Stu,

Very good but is the Moon oxydizing ? I see a strong red tint or hue or whatever it is called
