October 19th - Moonrise

Post by MapleRidge »

Hi everyone...

The clear weather experienced today has transitioned to a clear night as well, and the nearly full moon was rising above the trees after supper when I took this image:

Work hampered my solar time today, but I may get some time to image Jupiter yet tonight.

That's very nice Brian :hamster: I too had a great view of the Moon this morning as I drove to work, near the horizon and it looked massive!!

Hi Brian,

Well done. Today at 09:56 hours Mexico Time was Full Hunter's Moon

At rise time here in Mexico at 19:34 hours it went down already to 99.9% :(

I use for the predictions Virtual Moon Atlas 7.0. Great Software.

That's a well nice image Brian with the dark-blue sky and even darker tree-line, making a super image. :bow

In fact the Moon here in S.E.England is around 35-degs elevation and climbing and really is lighting-up the surrounding streets..

Thanks for sharing

Thanks Terry :bow

The nights around full moon here the past few days have been well lit by moonlight. Not quite the same as in the winter when the snow reflection adds to the brightness.

Thanks Terry...

We have warmed enough to loose the frost at night, but I'd almost prefer snow over the cold drizzle that is going on now...the snow doesn't soak into your clothes like the rain
