Hello everyone: posting a couple of images from back in August from our backyard. Hummingbirds are of great interest to us and we welcome them in our backyard starting around May. Hope you like them too.

Thank you Mark, Stu, Brian and Alexandra for your comments. Anna's hummingbirds are common on the West Coast. Here on the East Coast we see ruby throated hummingbirds, like the one in the photos. You can see the red throat when they turn the head or lift the feathers for some other reason.

Thank you Franco, I didn't know that, that is great for my learning of your bird species :) all the females and juvenilles look the same and it is very interesting to learn about using location to hone down the identity.
