Hi everyone...

Woke up to Mother Nature snickering at us here is Southern Ontario

It will likely melt away by noon, but sub zero nights over the weekend could bring more sunrise greetings like this. Sandy is not amused

Made me smile seeing it Brian, though I can get you're not amused. We're the opposite, spring has sneaked into summer, temperatures in the low 20s. Tee shirt weather for me - scary thought but might have to put my shorts on tomorrow; good job we're in lock down and the world won't see it. Poor Fiona though! :D :D :D

Was reading about it yesterday https://www.severe-weather.eu/global-we ... YqNp-cT5_g

Rainer and Mark...

It is no surprise really...snow up to the end of April is quite common, but it usually melts pretty quick. My mothers birthday is April 26th, and more often than not we have had snow a few days before or after, and I have seen snow into the first few weeks of May once or twice in my life  I tell people the only months I have never seen snow here are June, July and August!!!

It's normal for me, but Sandy is not amused...she is working from home exclusively and was taking breaks for a walk outside or cleaning up they yard bit by bit when she needed to clear her head. Scott and Madeline are home as well working to finish off their university semesters online as well...too many under one roof with limited ability to escape each other  That's why I like getting out to the scope when I can ;)

I checked the link you posted, and yup, were are under the big blue temperature anomaly 'blob' over North America

Brrrrrr..... making me feel chilly, Brian. As Mark says, summer-like weather here for now, although today has been really hazy with only occasional bright periods with hazy Sun breaking through.

No snow, though, thankfully :)

Hi Stuart...

It managed to warm up enough to melt the snow by noon, but the high barely reached 5C and a strong NW wind made it feel colder than it really was.

Sorry for giving everyone the chills today ;)

Wow!!!! oh dear!

We had our first BBQ this afternoon, and I was wearing shortstoo!
It was lovely to sit in the Sun, I haven't been very well this week and only just starting to feel better today. Hopefully today I will pick up and get to full speed. Been trying to keep up to date on here but been a bit wiped out (not the virus though so don't worry).

Hi Alexandra...

Sorry to hear you weren't feeling well this week, but glad to hear you are on the mend!!!

BBQ sounds great, and I've seen news stories form the UK showing people out in shorts/T shirts sunbathing disobeying the lock-down. Mark also reported summer weather the other day too. Glad yor could enjoy the outdoors a little ;)

The snow in the pic melted away by noon Thursday, but woke to another coating of the white stuff on Friday too. Cold and windy though, so even with the late afternoon sun yesterday it wasn't much more than 3C here.

I have been laid up the past 3 days with a terrible pain in my left heel...can't put any weight on the foot at all, so I've been hobbling around with a cane. With all the grief around the doctors and hospitals I'll stick it out a few more days before getting it looked at.

Take care everyone,
Brian
