Got a 35mm Canon RF lens so tried it out this morning on the Sunrise. Also a single Milky Way pick 15s @ f1.8; ISO 6400. Note other picks in collage with a 14mm lens.

It looks very misty this morning, in some images the Milky Way looks like an ominous cloud bank. The dawn colours are exquisite too, the second image is best viewed in a separate tab to gain its full glory :bow :hamster:

Hi Derek,

Very good images. Being a Canon-eer myself too I was curious about what is a RF ens and after a short search I found it and interesting.

I guess it is the RF 35 mm f/1.8 macro lens ? Would be interesting to see the correction of that lens. Did you buy it for Macro imagery mainly ? I own the very old 180mm f/3.5 and my decision to take 180 mm is that you are farther away from the insects which have a certain respect distance too before they take off.

Congratulations. I assume you have the new Canon EOS R body. Looks impressive at 30 megapixels.

regards Rainer
