Moonlit Earth - 26 December

Post by MapleRidge »

Hi all...

We were overcast with snow most of Boxing Day, but the bright moon is adding a bit of extra faint illumination to the landscape again tonight, despite being completely clouded over ;)

I went out after a late supper and took the image of the observatories with the night setting on my phone.

Hi Brian,

Very good. Such landscapes we do not see here. We get no Snow, but it reminds me when I used to live in Germany

Nice collection of observatories, Brian. My observatory is my driveway at the front of my house, or the back garden late in the afternoon.

I would call it second hand sunlight  bounced off the moon and back to us :)

How wonderful :) the only time I have ever had a white Christmas is when we stayed in Banff for Christmas and saw in the new 21st Century back in 2000/2001.

Thanks Brian for the snow scene of yours with as Alexandra says is with the reflected Moon-light.

We are expecting a little snow-fall here over the next few hours in S.E. England - but doubt if much of it. even though the temperature is about right..

Cheers
Terry
