Cactus Lophophora williamsi or Peyote

Post by rsfoto »

Hi,

Yes, a spineless cactus from mu collection and for the first time with two flowers in more then 20 years. Normally always had a single flower. I got it as a gift from a gardener in Mexico City.

This cactus is endemic of Mexico and the area where I live https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Peyote and very important  it contains psychoactive alkaloids

Taken a few days ago when some Sun shined between the clouds

Good times in the sun!

In all seriousness; beautiful shot (and plant).

Hi Rainer,
When I saw your head-line, I though you must be on something (out of this world). Maybe I was right ??

Seriously though (if I can be) a well-nice pic and thanks for the info and link.

Best Wishes
Terry
