It is a beauty, I'd love to go and visit but no international travel just yet :( hopefully it will keep rumbling for a year.

Been following this for a while now...

It has the potential to erupt for a few years. We're booked in and are scheduled to go in October. We'll have both had both jabs by then, as will the Icelandic population. It's a gamble but I think we'll get away with it...

My favorite place to visit and I cant wait to return. Hopefully I will see an aurora next time.

A new fissure opened up a few hundred meters away from the original and it is filling up another valley ...

Hi,

Exactly at Midnight from 6th to 7th Pril a third fissure opened and magma at high speed is flowing into the valley of the first eruption.

Hi,

Since I posted the links to the first eruptions there has been a huge development.

A total of 8 fisures opened and now there is a huge volcano-

New cameras in different places have been installed.
