On Sunday I finally caught seeing good enough to use my RC8 Lunt 50 mod. For anyone having any processing ideas, feel free to play with the sample stack and post your results (you can find Valery's in the mod's thread):
I settled on using ImPPG's unsharp mask + tone correction only, no L–R deconvolution:

I just used LR deconvolution in ImPPG. You have the same problem as me, the stack shows only areas of detail and the rest in blank. I get this all the time and I presume this is bad seeing. All my images with the C11 have only one small area of detail and not consistent. I am convinced I can't do the stacking properly not the processing.

Re: My first large-aperture Hα image – processing ideas
I love processing other peoples images. I learn such a lot.
I have been playing with NAFE lately, so used it alonside my usual techniques ( mostly ImagesPlus and Photoshop ).
There is still a little bit of the noise added by NAFE, but did not push things too far ( I hope ).
anyway my quick effort.
Thanks,
David

Thanks!
Well, we need to keep waiting for those elusive "ruffled-rug-sharp-everywhere" conditions.
Yes, I'm afraid it's the case here. I tried stacking different numbers of frames, in AviStack 2 and AS!3, but it didn't make much difference.
