Solar Shots 6th August

I may be on holiday at the moment but are currently undergoing a real back log with all my solar stuff! In between imaging between the clouds i'm digging out the footings for a greenhouse for Mrs Townley, and as with all chores is taking longer than I would like...

Anyway, wednesdays shots. It didn't clear until late afternoon, but by then our new sunspot was making his appearance... First off the CaK.

Thanks Derek, nar, no observatory. We live in deep sh!t central round here, not even entertaining the idea of leaving big bucks worth of kit outside for it to either be vandalised or nicked...

Mark, I dream of the day I can get calciums like yours! OH man. The movie is a great way to show jumping newtons rings? Just kidding. Great flaring region movie, I dont know how you keep the sun so still in each movie frame. Its magic!
