21-06-2015 Quark Chromosphere AR2371 Animation

Post by Ewan »

Nothing special at all, I was intending to do a few hours on this one area but cloud dodging was name of the game.

Here it anyway for what it's worth, I will get this right one day :)

Wonderful animations. What scope are you using with the Quark? I have one on order. Thanks.

An 80mm EDT from Altair Astro, stunning frac for the money & seems to deliver the goods.

How long before you get your Q ?

The Quark should be here by the end of this month, fingers crossed. I'm really after that pencil thin detail you have in your images, but I may need to pick up a better matched refractor. I have an Orion EON 72mm and a Meade LXD55 127mm, neither near the quality of your Altair 80mm. I'm going to play with what I have, but may look into something in the 100mm range for the future.
