AR2371 mid-flare 22nd June
Hi all,
An incredibly short window of opportunity opened through the clouds as I sat having dinner this evening, so I rushed out, set up the modified Lunt35/150mm Ha scope and captured three AVIs (of the same target) as wisps of cloud danced through the frame threatening to block the view. I just needed and got those few 10s windows to give me something to work with.
AR2371 is making a wonderful target just now and especially so this evening when it was mid-flare. I don't know how this is developing, now that the clouds have decided to make a full appearance, but if you have the chance, take a look!

Thanks for looking.
Stu.

Re: AR2371 mid-flare 22nd June
Nice catch. Spotted it in full blast (M-class flare) a short while ago. No hope of imaging, as clouds rolled in again. Still an amazing sight

That's a great result! I'm hoping for some clear skies around 6am in the morning, hopefully!

Very nice processing and lots of details at high resolution. You certainly made the best out of the few second you had available.

Sorry Stu I did comment, or so I thought, earlier from my mobile, no idea what happened.
Great capture though & I have read there is a high probability of this reaching X Class before is goes, so keep your eyes peeled & your gear out if possible.
