AR2544, AR2546 & other jems. HIGH RES pictures 11" SCT
Hi, solarchaters
Here is the haul of the yesterday's hunt for a better seeing and some sun's jems.
Seeing was reither poor with some short improvements to an average level.
Hence the image scale - significant undersampling which limited the resolution.
11" Celestron equipped with a full size ARIES D-ERF filter, SS etalon with <0,25A bandwidth
and ASI174MM camera were used for this hunt.
Two active regions AR2546 (easy for imaging) and AR2544 (very difficult for a proper image)
were dominate on the sun disk.
I also tried to image several less prominent active jems on the sun and only two of them came
out of a good enough image quality to show them here. These are our near future objects - when
the sun activity minimum will come it it's tranquility and silence. And a larger apertures can be
more or less effective for imaging such an objects in sufficient detalization which allows to see their
strcutures and the changes of these stcrutures.
Images are clickable for a full resolution.

Hi Valery
To my eyes, the first image suggests swirls of flames although I know that swirls can't be seen in real time.
Impressive image.

Hi Lou,
Can you, please, load this image in a Photo Shop or another graphic editor and pout our by the arrows or circles which flames and swirls do you mean.
Thanks,
Valery

Loving the details on the smallest of surface features. That aperture is great.
