Couple of Eclipse shots with Lunt 50 DS

Post by nickatnight »

Missed the beginning running my son to school, but got a few shots of it with the Lunt 50 DS and ZWO ASI174MM camera. Chose that camera to give lots of elbow room. Should have an animation to share eventually.

First shot I captured of eclipse.

And this is pretty much as close to totality we got near Los Angeles, California.

And here's the animation. Bit noisy, but I'll try again in 7 years.

Amazing video with all prominent solar features visible at that moment!

Thanks you, Nick.

Great job, Nick. You have the right settings to capture the details during the eclipse.

Nick:
Beautiful shots and animation, I got less totality from my place.
Best regards,
Eric.

Great shots, Nick. A partial eclipse is better than nothing and you've captured it beautifully.
