Lunt 60mm D/S Chameleon cam
Grabbed Helens lappy today after reloading the software etc we are up and running, but limited to 37fps and about 450 frames before the buffering kicks in so each ser is limited to 500 frames. My Dell work lappy has a USB 3 card in it ( I forgot and is about the same so if I want 58 fps and no buffering I will have to go back the the obs desktop and a 5m extension cable. Focus is handled via software , but its the etalon tuning that is an issue as I don't have 5m long arms.

Re: Sol 4-7-2018 Ha
Nice set. I have a slow disk in my Dell XPS laptop which buffers and slows down capture after about 300 frames.
So I grab consecutive shorter SERs and concatenate them ( and centre them if I use drift to reduce NRs ) using PIPP.
Cheaper than getting a new disk.
Hope you sort out the problems.
Best wishes,
David

Yes I do and helen loves to help where she can but she is a bit height restricted and struggles to reach the front etalon - steps are an option but she is very unsteady with her knees.
I am going to explore some more cable options like a looooong VGA cable and see if I can get a wireless mouse and keyboard to talk at that distance.
I could move the mount but that would mean I lose the low planets.

Steve:
Rainer a friend of mine and also a member of the fórum, moves his etalon tilters with small motors, so adjusting is very easy while viewing the sun. I think he loaded sometime ago some photos of his unique system.
He also lives in México, so I will try to get in touch with him.
Best regards,
Eric.

Hi Steve,
I took off the silly tuning wheel. Flattened that part and put those holders where the wheel was.
If you need more info please contact me.
