Ca-H full disc of Sept. 13th

Just a full disc today, there is little to see on the chromosphere and nothing on the photosphere apart some facular zones. I noticed some prominences in calcium light but sky is hazy today and images would be too noisy. I also add an image of AR12721 taken on Sept. 10th before the group lost all of its spots.

After some tests I decided not to use anymore of IMPPG for processing calcium images, I have the impression that it likely generates small scale artifacts, for the below image I used of IRIS instead.

I agree, I don't use IMPGG for CaK either. I have never really settled on what I like but AstraImage is what I usually turn to. I find IMPGG seems to create tiny dots which I am not sure is correct. I try to study the video as close as I can, then try and replicate what you see in processing, the eye never lies and is usually the best judge.

These are excellent photos :bow

Nice images, Raf.

I agree about ImPPG. I'm always worried it leaves small scale artifacts with CaK. I use ImagesPlus .. very slow but, I think, more reliable deconvolution.

Cheers.
