IMAGING SETUPS (Sky-Watcher SolarQuest Mount)

Another observing session with the SolarQuest mount and cloudy skies. After first alignment (Heliofind) it helps to cover the solar sensor. Tracking was great for about 3h

Thanks Mark & Eric

I'm loving the SolarQuest. It works like a charm even with cloudy skies

Are you going to be affected by Leslie where you are Pedro?

Yes Mark

It is approaching Portugal as we speak. Winds of 150Km/h are expected in coastal areas

Thanks Pedro I was wondering about those mounts.I have not been very active in Solar of late but did manage a bit of a break on a recent outback trip.

Thanks guys

Everything is OK, the hurricane was the biggest since 1842. Rain and strong winds during the night

Derek: SolarQuest is a great little mount for outreach and solar observation, it works like a charm

What kind of dovetail do you use to handle the PST to solarquest sadlle?
Can handle the PST to solarquest sadlle with Versatile L-shaped dovetail bracket by rotating the sadlle to 90 degree?
Aleixo

I used a normal dovetail. Since the PST has a fixed eyepiece you can use the L-shaped dovetail.

Caro

Pedro Ré

Esta dovetail serve para o PST acoplar à solar quest? É a pergunta que me fez o Raimundo

Sim mas não é a dovetail em forma de L que é mais adequada para usar com a SolarQuest

Este é o modelo que eu uso
