June 6th Session

Hi everyone...
A more seasonal day here this past Thursday, and I managed to get an hour or so to image before lunch. The disk was completely featureless in the first WL views, but Ha turned up some nice filaments when I looked through the Ha scope.
The first image is the Ha full disk through the LS80T/DSII/B1200Ha solar scope with the limb inverted to show the faint proms. The little prom on the NE quadrant had some nice structure but seeing didn't allow higher resolution images: A longer exposure pulled up a little more detail as shown below with the disk blocked out: The full disk WL and CaK images were taken through my 150mm, f8 iStar OTA with the ZWO1600MM camera. The WL image used a Lunt solar wedge and a Baader continuum filter: For CaK, a modded Lunt solar wedge/B1800CaK filter was used with a Baader K-line filter mounted in the camera nosepiece...a little more to be seen in CaK: The remaining images were taken through the CR-150 OTA (internal Baader ERF)/Quark Combo with ZWO174MM camera. The images below are two frame mosaics to cover the filaments and areas around them, using a 2x tele-extender: I switched to a 3x tele-extender to get a bit higher resolution of the two filaments, but the seeing made it difficult to do much better: Below is a pic of the SSM output through much of the session: Not a bad day considering how bleak the disk looked in WL
The scenery around home is starting to look more like spring these days too Questions and comments are always welcome,
Brian
