Saturn, Jupiter last night.

Post by oreoluna » Mon Jun 17, 2019 11:46 am

Hi Guys.
Last night I aimed at Satur and Jupiter. I'm still green behind the ears in terms of planet photography. But, it can be seen.

Wonderful images
Some inspiration of what I might hope to achieve with my 5 1/2" someday
I appreciate the labeled images of the Moon, as I am still very new to astronomy

Beautiful images of Jupiter and Saturn Jozef. Interesting to see if you could get even more out of it when using Registax.
The moon pictures are a bit over sharpened and a bit to dark to my taste, but maybe that is because I am a fan of your soft approach when imaging in H-alpha.
Really like the way you presented the overlay of regular and inverted images of the moon on astronomie-teilen, have never seen that done this good before! Maybe try to invert Jupiter, that gives sometimes an interesting image.

Hello Bart.
Thank you for your constructive criticism. I'm too dark with them. In fact, it does not sharpen, but increases the contrast. I've made this conscious to create an infrared look since it was full moon and everything is flat.
The overlay on astronomy parts is awesome ..... unfortunately can not be linked!
Jozef.
