Sunsets and Rainbows June 29

Post by Starry Jack »

This sunset behind me produced this double rainbow in front of me. The whole neighborhood came out. No rain at all. I am in San Diego area California.

Glorious.

Fantastic views!

Have you ever visisted Mnt. Hamilton (Lick Observatory) which is known for excellent day and night seeing?

Thanks Val and Paul.
Val, I have not been to Lick which about 7 hours from here but I have been to Palomar observatory which is about 1 hour from here and taken a tour behind the scenes. Fascinating. I also have been to Griffith observatory in Los Angeles which a wonderful public education facility.

I do love a good sunset! and the rainbow is interesting too, do you think the rain evaporated before hitting the ground?
