Great work Pedro!! looks like you had a fabulous time, how many folks do you think came? it looks like a lot of fun was had by all
I enjoyed the drone shots as it gives an interesting perspective. However, a couple of weeks ago I had a drone staring at me in my front garden and I wasn't impressed at all. Thankfully it got caught in our tree so I confiscated it. Considering it is illegal in the UK to fly within 50m of private property they aren't getting it back unless they give me their licence number and I report them to the police. Funnily enough they have never come to collect it Drones are great in context but terrible invasion of privacy. Do you need to be careful in Portugal?

Re: Outreach activity (20190629) | OLA (Portugal)
Thanks a lot guys
Alexandra: I try to fly outside urban locations and I also feel that drones can be invasive (we have regulation on using drones in Portugal as well). This is not the case in OLA (Observatório do Lago Alqueva) though. I was able to teach a course on solar astrophotography during the afternoon. The kids arrived at the end of the course and we had more than 50 people during the night (deep-sky observing)
It is a fantastic location, with very low light pollution and great facilities

Nice outreach, Pedro. It seems like a great place to do that. What drone were you flying this time ?

That’s so funny Alexandra; not the fact they were invading your privacy, but your confiscation of the drone. Hopefully a lesson learned on their part.Montana wrote: ↑Mon Jul 01, 2019 1:33 pm Great work Pedro!! looks like you had a fabulous time, how many folks do you think came? it looks like a lot of fun was had by all
