2019 Fall Fundraiser October 2nd through the 30th. Please help support the forum.

Post by solarchat »

Welcome to our 2019 Fall Fundraiser for the Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project/Sunlit Earth! . Our goal this year is $10,000(US) to be used to run our various internet forums, pay the <4% admin expenses of running the nonprofit, purchase and distribute equipment sponsorships around the world, maintain a large supply of giveaway solar goodies, pay for birdseed and maintenance supplies at our local nature preserve where we do Sunlight Outreach hikes, and to afford whatever special circumstances come up during the year.

No one gets paid a salary and we never charge anything for participation in anything we do.

We have been an established global nonprofit since 2008 and have reached over 750,000 students and adults through our various STEM programs.

Here's how it works...those of us that can afford to help do so in order to promote more science among communities that cannot. Science and reason is the only hope for our species. Help me spread it.

Okay, the first week is in the books and we are at $3200 in the Charlie Bates Solar Astronomy Project/Sunlit Earth! fundraiser. The goal is $10,000 by the end of October.

Thank you so much Earl Foster, Filip Szcerek, Bojan Scepanovic, Prof. Pedro Re, James W. Ambrister, Lissie Stahlman, Ben Kennedy, Cicely Drummer, and Mark Townley for your very generous donations this weekend!

If you want your money to inspire the best dreamers out there with equipment and freely shared information, I will do this for you and you get the tax write-off.

Come on folks, please support our lovely little forum. Even you lurkers out there, I expect you all find this site an amazing fountain of knowledge which has helped you learn, make the most of your images and probably even save you money with handy little fixes and mods.

Pretend you are buying just another bit like a small filter or extension tube or something and instead donate this money to Solarchat and help keep this forum going into the future, nothing this amazing ever comes for free and at the moment Stephen is footing quite a large bill to keep us all happy and smiling in the sunshine. Go on, you know you can afford it, every little dollar helps :hamster:
