Enhancing filament detail
Hi everyone now i'm double stacking my lunt LS60 I'm starting to see lots more detail in my Images. Yesterday's session yielded some nice wispy filaments. Is there a process in photoshop or any other software that could enhance the details that I have captured?. I imaged this with a 30 second capture in Firecapture, stacked in AS3, sharpened in Registax ,final processing was done in Photoshop.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Martin

Re: Enhancing filament detail
Have you tried Imppg software, it's free for solar imaging.

Re: Enhancing filament detail
Thank you Franco and Stardust, I have a copy of imgPPG and will give it a try, Astra Image is one I haven't heard off so I'll check that one out too.

Re: Enhancing filament detail
These are super Martin, increasing the contrast will help too, try investigating the curves function in Photoshop.

These are nice sharp images Martin!!!
Both programs mentioned do a great job on solar images, you will just have to put some time in to see which you prefer.

Re: Enhancing filament detail
Lately enhancement is a good thing. The sun is very bland lately. Now if I can find a way to enhance things visually.
