Hi Alfred,

I took a liberty to process your image a bit further. Here is the result. So, your seeing is even better and the setup has better potential than it seems on the first glance.

Right click on the image and open it in a different window to see it in a full resolution.

Thanks Valery for sharing your improvement to the image. Yours is definitely a more intricate image.

I have been invited to speak on High-Resolution Solar Imaging at the annual ASEAN Astronomy Networking Meeting https://www.physics.nus.edu.sg/~seaan/ in December 2019. Astronomy and astrophysics representatives from the 10 countries of ASEAN meet annually to exchange research findings and educational practices. Info on ASEAN- https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/05/ ... explainer/

I will share your version as well as my version of this image during the Conference. . It will be interesting to hear the views of professors and university dons from the 10 ASEAN countries as well as representatives from Taiwan and New Zealand.

Such beautiful fluffy texture Alfred, I could melt into its feathers, I think the fine detail is conserved and stunning in your image, well done :hamster: :bow :bow

Thanks Alexandra. It would be great if I can process the image retaining its fluffy details and also have the additional details brought out in Valery's processing :P

For now, I have made an animated gif (3 sec per image) to show the comparison of the 2 versions.

Congratulations on your conference, Alfred. I prefer the less processed image. It seems more natural to me.

Hi Alfred...

I find each version has its own merits, though I prefer the light processing version of the two. It is hard to process to everyones preferences, but in the end process to your liking ;)

The conference sounds interesting too...I hope that your presentation is well received!!!

Beautiful indeed, Alfred. I’d be happy to even see the Sun these days.... getting too used to grey skies here.

Both versions have their merits.

Great shag pile Alfred. I too like the softer image but both are sweet!
