Hi Folks,
Finally some sun and time to image it! I think the last time I got the chance to image was back in November (Mercury transit day). We have had the occasional sunny day since then, but usually when I'm at work. Today things finally came together- Sun and a day off. The only downside was the seeing conditions were awful making capturing fine details somewhat tricky.
First up a Ca II K full disk in monochrome and colour displaying a little active region in the south-west.

and over to the red end of the spectrum in hydrogen alpha showing a small filament, the active region and an impressive prominence in close up.
Ha full disks....

.....and a closer view of the beautiful prom in the north-east on a 150 mm/DS Lunt 35 modified refractor.

Thanks for looking.

Excellent full discs Stuart, the CaK is interesting as there are another 2 hots spots in the south, I wonder if they will develop further or disappear, I can't remember what was on the disc 4 weeks ago. I am glad you managed to at last have a sunny Friday looks like this weekend is going to be battening down the hatches. At the moment I have a beautiful clear sky to the west but not to the east
