Sun 27th March '20

Post by Carbon60 »

Another blue sky day today, but probably the last for a little while. Back to grey tomorrow, according to the weather reports.

Focused on FDs today across the spectrum, plus a few close views although the seeing conditions weren't really up to the job.

Hi Stu,

Great images specially the close ups from the prominences.

I have the feeling your H-alpha full disk are a bit out of band ¿?

Nice Stuart. The WL image certainly looks similar to my WL visual view today. Yours shows the granulation a bit better than I could see it though.

Nice captures, Stu (especially seeing the lack of solar activity and seeing conditions)

These are all great Stuart, pity there is bobbins on the Sun at the moment, you can bet there will be lots going on when the clouds appear :bow :hamster: I can't believe how the weather has turned so bad just because it is the weekend after being sunny Mon-Fri ;)

I have that problem often too Montana. Sunny during the week and cloudy weekends. It's worse it seems near new moon when I plan my deep sky observing sessions.

Many thanks everyone. Yep.....back to cloudy skies here. It would be nice to have some interesting targets, for sure. Anytime soon would do.

Stu:
A nice session with a rather blank Sun.
Beautiful HR shots in W/L, Ha and CaK.
Wish you a nice and safe weekend.
Eric.

Excellent images Stu, and even though the full disks don't offer a lot of details you have them in the hi-res images.

Excellent work :bow
