April 4, 2020 AR2759 Find the sunspot?

Post by Astrophil »

Still AR2759 perseveres. Today I had the opportunity to take a few images before the etalon came up to temperature, looking for the sunspots. While not white light images, the small spots can be located. As the band approaches Ha the spots get harder to find and the convection cells fade away.
Taken with the 6" Mak and a Solar Spectrum filter.

The solar plasma looks almost liquid in your pictures. I bet a video capture would show it well too.
