2nd May Sun-Just
It took two attempts this morning . The skies were blue with a few clouds that looked to be well out of the way when I set up this morning at around 8:30am. How wrong I was. Literally I just got everything ready, setup and focused when a large cloud rolled in front of the Sun, blocking it completely and, searching around the sky, it was obvious that there was no chance of doing anything for a while as it had gone really dark and threatening. I decided to pack up for a while and see how things developed.
By around 11:00am things had improved enough for me to tempt fate again and set up for a second time. This time there were enough good sized gaps to allow me to capture a few images of the departing AR2760 and a lovely prom in the south east.

Comparing yours to Mark's images you can see the physical changes in the prominence. The sun is always under constant change. Never boring.

Re: 2nd May Sun-Just
These really are excellent shots! The seeing looked to be very supportive of the aperture used. My seeing was pants yesterday, could see the image boiling at 50mm in Ha which is never a good sign.

Re: 2nd May Sun-Just
Many thanks, everyone. It was good seeing the Active Region one last time before it rounded the limb.

Nice and crisp images, Stu.
Lets hope the weather clears up a bit soon and more opportunities like this come along.
