My first h-alpha animation

Post by Ronnie_Clayton »

Hello friends!

Last Saturday I´ve tried to do my first time lapse (animation) of the Sun. Unfortunately it was little cloudy and the seeing was not so good. But it was an incredible experience. I hope you like it! :P .

Setup:
APM LZOS 152 + Solar Spectrum 0,3A RG + Baader TZ3 + Basler acA 1920-155

Softwares:
AS!2 (staking) + PixInsight (wallets + color) + Affinity Photo (frames alignment + details) + PhotoScape (GIFF)

I see material going left and right, like a whirlwind.

Thank you Ronnie. The actions of the prom are quite interesting and well-captured - thanks.

I've still got the Friday animation of the flare to complete...

Well done!
I suggest shorter time intervals next time (30 s - 1 minute) for smoother motion.

Very interesting motion there, Ronnie, not only in the prom, but also in the spicule field. Nicely captured.

Just for information, I capture 10s bursts every 30s for my animations, which seems to work.

I agree. That spicule field activity is captured splendidly!

Very good. Like the movement of the spicules on the surface. They look like grass tufts
