Is the Sun unusual?

Post by DeepSolar64 »

Are stars like the Sun commonplace or are sunlike stars actually rare and unusual?

Thanks James.

It's an interesting concept to think about indeed. I saw another video on the topic a while back. Will give this one a look when I have some time later on.

Hi

I think our arrangement of planets with the bigger ones away from the star is unusual. And it needs to be stable over a long period for life to evolve.

Andrew.

I think we are learning that the sun is not ordinary. Evidence is mounting that the sun is truly unique. We now know that it is brighter than the majority of the stars in the Milky Way is just a start.
