AR12770 in H-a August 10 2020 with 305mm telescope and QUARK.

Post by Valery »

Hi all,

Here is the image of the AR12770 in H-a I managed to take yesterday morning.

A light bridge is seen in it's glory. Seeing was really horrible all the morning session

and only one barely acceptable image in the result of 1 hour session.

Right Click on the image to open it in a separate window - to see it in full resolution.

Equipment used:

Meade 12" F/10 ACF

Full size 12" ARIES DERF

Quark Chromosphere @ F/42

Focal reducer 0,7x

Basler 1920-155 camera

Thanks for looking and comments.

WoW Valery. That is really good for the seeing to not be that good. What type of telescope is the 12"?

A beautiful image, Valery.
You still pulled out a wonderful result, despite the seeing.
Cheers.

Re-read my post. You can see that this is a Meade 12" F/10 ACF.

Nicely done, Valery, under challenging conditions.
The light bridge shows up very nicely with good levels of detail. We can also see filaments emerging from close to the centre of both dark regions as this sunspot continues to decay.

This season the seeing ends somewhere in spring (first decade of May).
New telescope - new problems. Hope this scope will leave my observatory soonest and
will work at another place in Bulgaria at 2000m above sea level.
