2020-09-21 - HA prom

Post by JochenM »

A nice clear day here today (finally). I had a look at GONG this morning and saw quite an interesting looking prom on the SE limb; so decided to have a look myself.

Overall, seeing wasn't the greatest; but good enough to get the job done. There's some initial signs of the new AR coming across the NE limb as well. But the bad weather that's rolling in here in the next days will be just in time to ruin that for me

Setup: 150 f8 achromat, 35nm Baader H-Alpha filter, Quark Chromosphere, IMX174.

Thanks for looking!

Gorgeous imaging Jochen, very delicate :hamster: :bow

Like I always say, our weather is linked to sunspot activity, whilst this region tracks across the disc we shall have cloud and rain!

Thanks all.

All the observational evidence does support your claim, Alexandra :)
