2020-10-31 - AR 2778/2779 WL + HA comparison

Post by JochenM »

After not having seen the Sun for what feels like forever now, it peeked through the clouds briefly today. Considering how I'm stuck at home because of being diagnosed with COVID (just mild symptoms, no worries) and hence bored out of my skull; I more than welcomed the opportunity.

Just the right timing to still catch a glimpse of the AR's on their way out. Fairly windy here today, so had to time my captures wisely, but fairly happy with the result.

Setup:
80 ED
Quark Chromosphere + 35nm Baader H-Alpha filter (HA), Baader Herschel Wedge + Solar Continuum Filter (WL).
IMX178 (WL), IMX174 (WL).

Thanks for looking!

Hello Jochen, you've also captured some of the last of this great AR's - so perhaps it could rotate into view again - who knows ??

Thanks vm
